Africa has known slavery, especially from West Africa. Therefore, it was harder to be in the New World, because of barriers in West Africa. It is not good to select who is going where and how. The airport of Dakar is one pf the most dangerous one, in the world and there are people who try to avoid it. Slavery has been hard especially on women.
