It is a busy season for the Batwa of Burundi. Batwa are Pygmee populations and some of them live on fruit trees like mangoes, lemon and papaya trees. Summer is a season for home inspection and roof repairing. Pottery making is also an activity and the pottery center is Karuzi. Batwa are Indigenous populations that are vulnerable and very few demographically speaking. Insuring security of the Batwa and their homes is a priority.
