The dry season has its drawbacks. Food is rare in the deserts and areas that are dry. Besides date trees and camels there are not many things to eat. Some progress has been made to fertilize the desert like planting orange trees and also by growing Mediterranean food like zuchinni, green peppers, eggplants and onions. It is a cycle of scarcity that needs to be monitored. Paradoxically, there is oil and gas as well as solar energy in desertic areas.
