The Banana and Mango Trees in Southern Africa

The international day of forests is on March 21. The theme is Forests and Energy. Forests provide us with wood. There are some countries, where wood is used for cooking. There are rainforest countries like Brazil and Canada. The pygmy populations live on forests for example, fruit trees like mangoes, banana trees. In Burundi for example, at the entrance of a royal residence, you find a tree called, in Kirundi ikigabiro, which is a tall tree, with bright green leafs with, branches which fall.
